    The Solar System to Scale

    The solar system is commonly illustrated with pictures using pictures with two different scales. The planet sizes are shown to scale and the distances between the planets are shown to scale, but they are not the same scale. The image below shows the planets drawn to scale to illustrate relative planet diamters, but not distances between them.

    The video below shows the planet sizes and distance drawn to the same scale. When showing the entire system, the planets are smaller than a single pixel when depicted on a typical computer screen.
